| New York State amended it’s policy of enforcement for retailers who sell Tobacco.
Under the new law a point system has been established. As of June 28, 2003, each violation of a tobacco sale to a minor will generate a fine and two points. If you receive three points in three years, your retailer’s license will be suspended. However, if the clerk has received a certification by taking an approved seminar, theviolation will receive one point.
This class is approved by the New York State Department of Health. If you don’t see A date near a city of your choice, contact the agency for upcoming seminars.
